Margery Allingham

Margery Alllingham, along with Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers & Ngaio Marsh, epitomized the mystery writers of the Golden Age of the mystery. Her series character, Albert Campion, over the course of 40 years goes from young adventurer to war time espionage agent to married detective. A favorite story is Sweet Danger apa The Fear Sign in which he meets his future wife Amanda Fitton. (She develops from a teen-age experimenter & tinkerer to airplane engineer.) Another much published tale is Tiger in the Smoke, about a ruthless criminal Campion needs to track down.
